Men's Ring Settings

Men's ring settings without stones are semi-mounts: a men's ring mounting with the center seat left open, so you set the stone. This is that catalog, not a finished men's ring with the center already in place.

Find a setting whose shape and millimeter size match the gem you have. A photo may show a sample stone for scale. The center is included only when that listing says so.

Tips from John

People search "men's ring settings without stones" when they want the ring built and the center left open. That is this collection.

Think of it as the jacket, not the person wearing it. You choose a head that suits the stone, a metal you actually want, and a look from solitaire-clean to halo or bezel. Then the stone goes in.

Guide from Our Designer

A men's ring setting shows the center stone in one of three builds here: the stone alone on a plain head, a halo of small stones around it, or a bezel with metal around the edge. Choose the picture you want. The seat size is a separate question.

A plain head lets the gem be the whole face. That suits a stone you already like at its real size, whether the listing is round, cushion, princess, oval, or emerald cut. A halo draws a border of small stones, so a modest center reads as a larger face without changing the millimeters of the seat. Men's halo settings are collected on their own page: men's halo ring settings.

A bezel is the quieter frame. Metal rims the stone, the edge is covered, and there are no prong tips standing up around it. Open a listing that says bezel or full bezel when that is the build you want.

The center seat on this page is empty unless the product says a center stone is included. A halo's small stones can still be part of the mounting. Read that line. The photo is often a sample for scale.

BuildWhat you seeOn the listing
Plain headThe center stone and the band. No frame of stones around it.Shape and millimeters. The title does not say halo or bezel.
HaloSmall stones around the center, so the face looks larger than the seat. The word halo, or the men's halo ring settings collection.
BezelA metal rim around the stone. The edge is covered.Bezel or full bezel in the title.

FAQs

A men's ring setting without stones is a semi-mount: the band and the head are made, and the center seat is empty until you set a stone in it.

Shop this page when you want the mounting. You bring the gem, or you choose one later. The listing tells you the shape the seat was cut for and the millimeter size.

Yes. That is what an empty setting is for. The stone has to match the shape and the millimeter length and width on that product, not a guess from carat weight.

If nothing in the catalog is close, Design Lab is the custom path. Price and timing belong to that project, not to this collection page.

Read the shape and the millimeters on the listing, then hold them next to your stone. A 10×8 mm oval seat wants an oval that measures about 10 mm by 8 mm. Carat weight will not tell you if it fits.

Photos often show a sample stone so you can see the scale. The center counts as included only when the product page says so.

No. A finished ring already has the center stone. A setting, or ring mounting, is the piece you set the stone into.

Stay on this page for a men's semi-mount. If you are not looking for a men's mounting at all, the unmodified catalog is ring settings without stones.

Pick the metal the mounting has to be, then open that page. Men's sterling silver ring settings are the .925 path. Men's gold ring settings are the 14K path.

Other karats and platinum appear on the listings that name them. Check the metal on the product. This page does not call one metal tougher, or indestructible, and it does not sell tungsten, titanium, or silicone bands.

Other Tips

The useful question is simple: will this stone sit in this seat? The listing answers it with a shape and a millimeter size.

If your stone is an odd cut, or the millimeters are nowhere close to a stock setting, that is a Design Lab conversation, not a guess at checkout.

Look atWhy it mattersSkip this
