Cabochon ring settings without stones are semi-mounts for a smooth, domed center. Work in this order: millimeters, shape, head style, then metal.

1. Match millimeters

Use the size printed on the listing. Cabochon depth and dome height vary—when in doubt, compare your stone to the stated mm size before setting.

2. Choose shape

Oval is common in this catalog. Use oval, round, or cushion child collections to narrow results.

3. Read the head style

Titles may say Cab or Cabochon and may show bezel-like or prong-adjacent heads. Photos and the product page are the source of truth.

4. Confirm metal

Open sterling, 10K, or 14K cabochon children when you want a metal filter, then verify the alloy on the SKU.

A bezel cabochon is the listing that says bezel: metal covers the edge of the stone. A prong cabochon is the listing that says prong. Most titles here say cabochon or Cab, and they do not name either head.

How to choose

• The center stone is included only when that listing says so.
